How To Slow Roast Cherry Tomatoes

How To Slow Roast Cherry Tomatoes

The simplest recipes always produce the most fresh and delicious dishes. This particular appetizer is one I include when preparing multiple dishes for a dinner party. It is what I call an “autopilot” dish. It requires little effort and produces “no fail” great results! And, most importantly, it tastes as great as it looks!

Recommended Kitchen Tools

One 3 x 18 rimmed baking sheet with rack. If you don’t have one, get one! I use mine all the time for grilling, decorating cookies, and draining fried foods.

Ingredients

Vined cherry tomatoes or any small cherry tomato

olive oil

Crystal Diamond Kosher salt

Instructions

Use a spatula to gently remove the tomatoes from the package, rinse and pat them dry. Try not to pick them up by the vines. They have a habit of falling off their vine very easily.

Place them on a 18x 13 inch rimmed baking sheet with a rack. Brush with olive oil and salt to taste.

Place them in the oven at 300 degrees for 1-1/2 hour.

Serve in a bowl and add to our charcuterie board, garnish your breakfast omelets, or add them to your salads.
